Katrina Hurricane Relief Trip
March 2006

The backgroud is an image from a painting my wife, Sandy, found in a pile of rubble and debris on Main Street in Bay St. Louis. It was not signed by the artist nor was there a name. She appropriately named it “The Storm”. 

We are transformed by trouble. God has a purpose behind every problem. Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NIV .   God uses problems to draw you closer to himself. he Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 NLT / We learn things about God in suffering that we can’t learn any other way.
