the time frame, could very well, be the 2nd, child, we have no way of knowing ,his first name , we do no he came from the kansas,or missouri area, as , he married my grandmother,she was in iowa,and was of indian descent.we know he burnt in a house fire ,most think possbily lansing,but not for sure , the kids ended up in st marys orphanage,for a time after his death,my grandmother s name was nancy moreland , and she was born 1873-74,she died and is buried in lansing ,iowa , had remarried a man named george white,do, you know where the 3rd child went or anything about him,did his family ,have some kind of fruit orchard, or something of that nature, if so ,then he would be the one we are looking for,he died around 1920-24,as my dad was born in 1914, and his brother in 1912, his brother only had to be in the orpanage a short , so he was about 12, let me know , ok and thanks.marie

i wish to thank you , every thing i was reading ,that you have sent ,does point to W O Howell, as the grandfather ,ive been searching for, right time frame ,place , and the names in that line , my uncles name ,was oscar joesph, my aunt s name was marie louise, and my dad was ralph albert,my middle name is adeline , my brother is george oscar,and my sister is pearl , so many of the names match ,for kin.you also said youve lived in iowa . i grew up in davenport, was born there , my brother and sister was born in lansing , both sides of my family are fron the lansing area , both grandparents worked for the button factory there,my uncle ,drew a picture of lansing nameing every ones houses . the black hawk bridge, one of my uncles helped build,my dad and his brother was born at speachsville, shows up on the map of 1889,my aunt adeline went to school in prairie du chien,our winnebagos, was removed from there ,and was put on the blue earth indian reservation , later moved to the dakotas ,then back in iowa , they lived for a time at sabula iowa, my dad was a fisher man ,and made his own nets and row boats , i do have a lot of info , on lansing and wisconsin, my mother was born there, also the town of withee is named after her side of the family , we are related to ,the hills ,hogans, johnsons withey,withee, olsons and andersons ,up in that part of the country, ,they have a family plot , at the old oak hill cemetary, i have been doing a lot of research , just not getting the rght howell,till now.if the children ,were put in the orphange there, then the fire had to be close to that area,as grandma never drove a car.,so your info has helped a great deal, thank you very much , i also have pictures , and the only 3rd grade class picture for that year , if you would like i can sent them , my mother ,put all the kids names on the back ,most are all deceased,also a news paper clipping of the button factory,,thanks again, marie
